Intro
Life skills are an optional content intended to provide equipment, upgrade materials, consumable buffs, furnishings, luno (indirectly) and more. They can be grouped into categories: gathering, which provides materials for crafting. Click on any life skill below to see how it relates to others by recipe.
Gathering
(Max Lv. 20)Crafting
(Max Lv. 50)Stamina, recipes, & levels
Life skills operate on a stamina system, where 400
is given daily and you can stock up to 2000
. Focused recipes consume stamina, while regular recipes do not. Progression-related recipes tend to be focused.
“Recipe” is used as an umbrella term to refer to all life skill activities—including gathering.
Every time you gather or craft, you gain EXP for that life skill. Regular recipes give 2 EXP and focused recipes give 80 EXP, and each have a slight chance to give additional EXP. For tips on leveling up life skills without using stamina, see Leveling Life Skills without Stamina.
Life skill levels, for the most part, do not matter as they are primarily used to unlock regular recipes. Focused recipes can be unlocked through talents.

A subset of focused recipe items can be sold in the in-game Trading Center for Unbound Luno for various fixed prices. See Most profitable items for a list of sellable items.
Talents
Talents introduce a “skill tree” to every life skill, with effects such as unlocking focused recipes, speeding up gathering time, and a chance to obtain extra items when crafting. They can be activated by spending
talent points. You will gain 1
talent point for every 300
spent. Talents also have a time gate that prevent you from activating them before the server has been open for a certain amount of time.
Weekly Quests
Each life skill has a weekly quest that grants a massive amount of EXP for that life skill. They are all accepted and turned in at the NPC Gaido near the NPC that provides equipment reforges/refinement. The materials can be manually obtained or bought from each life skill vendor NPC found throughout town.
Artisanry materials can currently only be purchased.
| Life skill | Materials | Rewards |

Fishing
Although not explicitly a life skill,
Fishing is similar to a gathering life skill as caught fish can be used in
Culinary dishes. Fishing does not consume stamina, though players must purchase bait and a fishing rod. Additionally, fishing rods have durability which is decreased based on what is hooked.
An added benefit of fishing is that fish are the only zero-stamina items that can be used for Guild Cargo. The other options require focused recipes or purchasing with Unbound Luno from the Trading Center.
Custom recipes (Culinary & Alchemy)
Alchemy has a station that allows you to sacrifice items to generate other items such as Enigmite Powder.
Culinary allows you to formulate custom recipes to output various dishes.
What should I prioritize?
Aside from niche cases, such as prioritizing certain house furnishings, the fundamental decision here is if you wish to use your stamina for upgrade materials or for sales.
Upgrade materials
Smelting is strongly recommended as you eventually need thousands of items from it to max refinements. Gems are not nearly needed at the same scale, thus you can deprioritize
Gemcrafting and
Gemology or completely ignore them altogether and buy gems from the Trading Center.
You may also consider
Alchemy to create materials needed to convert unused skill books and class talent materials between classes.
Once you are fully set on upgrade materials,
Culinary and
Alchemy may be good options as these provide excellent consumable buffs (though they can also be offloaded to alt accounts).
Sales
Prioritizing sales give you the freedom to choose whether you want to purchase Battle Imagine materials, modules, refinement materials, or gems. You can also buy cosmetic items and mounts with Unbound Luno.
Weaving is a decent option at the start of the game as many players will be eager to complete their look using dyes. However, once most players have their gems and dyes in place, demand for both of these items will likely drop drastically.
Why speculate which life skill is the most profitable, when we can simulate it?
